Hi, I'm new to the site, I haven't started editing yet however. I have criteria for a solar system, but there isn't any type of search feature that utilises this. Also, anything that generates interesting stars you have to pay for seemingly, I looked at a good number of stars.

It does seem the only way to ensure they're unlocked is to search through the 500 pages and open lots of tabs and just get lucky. I'm not prepared to pay for anything that doesn't support those just starting.

So, do people have any solar systems that they're not using or that they just know of that fit these criteria?

- Any number of planets (lower is better)
- A low number of moons, our solar system (including the dwarf planets) is average of around 15/planet, this is what I'd like at worst. I've seen a couple of "taken" systems with the right amount however people seem to be pretty possessive with the things they edit.
- 1 (or more) planets that are life supporting
- Not a ridiculous oxygen percentage

Your request may be difficult to fulfill in whole - the site tends to overload gas giants with moons. Here are two possibilities:
PFF916 red dwarf star with 5 planets
LCH542 red dwarf star with 8 planets

If you go to the "my Profile" tab and click on "Edit community stars (FREE)" you'll find the full list of stars that are available for editing. Many of the first are taken, but you can browse to the end pages (there are 573 pages of stars) and find fresh, new stars.

Is there no test galaxy where certain parameters can be generated?

No, the physical parameters of the planets are currently un-editable. I believe it is on the To-Do list.

I managed to find one NAH812, however even though I renamed everything at the same time, the main two names didn't even stick.

That is likely due to a repetition of names that have been previously used. I notice that you named it "Apollo" and have been using names from Greek mythology. This has already been done in system TGC998, so you are likely trying to repeat names from that system.

If names don't stick, try changing the spelling slightly. For example, Apollo becomes Apolo.

Ah, Apollo worked fine, just the other couple didn't. Fair enough. There's so many planets, I assume duplication wouldn't be a factor. Maybe I'll just give up. Thanks anyway guys.

I like to purchase stars that have about 28 planets (very common).
